I would like to no, which Kennel club registration paper should aquired with new Mal Pup when purchaseing.I meet guys dailey with this we don't do papers.Replying, In working lines to keep it real we just write them down. I would like to know is this so with Mals. I have heard this befor.I am my self only interested in a working dog being abale to do the work. But some were down the line, Papers are & will be needed from a respectable registration club. WHAT'S THE REAL?????? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Some Mals are registered and some are MalX's bred for the work.
That's the real deal with Mals.
The reason? Kennel clubs historically revolve around non-working types who have a tendency to wreck dogs for the work.
In Holland there are a few KNPV types with registered dogs, most don't have papers. In Belgium the NVBK, though they issue papers, are basically unrecognized dogs (recognition coming through one representative kennel club in each country, in Belgium it is St. Hubert which also have a ring sport organization). This has lead to, over the years a lot of falsified pedigrees. So, many of the dogs history isn't any better, and often worse due to the need for secrecy, than the MalX bred dogs or unrecognized dogs.
In fact this is probably why the Mals have managed to go from relative obscurity to a very very prominant working dog in only the last 20-25 years supplanting the GSD in many places.
So what about if you decide to breed your partner & American citizens ask for papers. Here is the U.S. after telling them you have top working line pups, they wanna hear AKC.What then
Ok, I quess i know the answer to my own question now. This great line of European working Mal needs to be only with season Handlers & Trainers. Whom love the Mal for it's ability to work. Not those whom are seeking for papers for Future sale ,show & or show off pets. Hey, hope i didn't hit any one below the belt .

Now this is a humorous post, equating the AKC with production of working dogs? Even the New York Times published a huge article about how the AKC was unrespected in regards to such endeavors. Most people look elsewhere for workign dog although many have AKC reg. when you look at hunting dogs it is not the AKC where people seek out top animals. Most hounds aren't even recognized by AKC, most major hunting events aren't AKC sanctioned events. Only the naive look there for working dogs. Unfortunatly most people looking for working dogs are naive, inexperienced, and fall for the "these pups are registered" as a indication of quality line from puppy sellers. It is equivilant to the "driven only to church on sundays" sales line.
