I am looking for a malinois pup. I will be a new handler to a mal but have delt with any type of dog from your over active 70lbs labs to 120lbs of aggressive rotts. My husband has a 9month old working line gsd that i have worked with and have delt with many mals and know what im getting myself into. Can anyone refer me to a good breeder? And can anyone tell me about this breeder: van-de-Utadreef Kennels? Thank you for any info.
There is a litter out of Ludo (Kain ot Vitosha) Coming in the very near future like now I think Malinois du ciel rouge is the kennel. I have seen at least 5 pupppies of his from mostly different litters and liked them all. Brigita I think is going to have some soon fd-malinois.com I think is the site. I have a ludo son and am quite happy.

I can tell you that I am picking up Demetrius van de Utadreef today at the airport. yeah, I am nuts!
I wanted and Utamarou son to add to my breeding program, so I had been talking with Geert in Belgium for the last 6-8 months. I do know he has a female pup left from his "d" litter. By the time we paid the dollar to Euro exchange and the shipping we have a lot of money wrapped up in an 8 week old pup. I don't plan on importing any more dogs from Europe if I can help it.
Also, "news flash" Ulani van Joefarm (Nelton deux pottois son) SchH3 DPO2 WPO will be arriving in Wisconsin to stand at stud here at Kaiserhaus/Leerburg. I will put details on my website as soon as we get him here and settled in. Nitro is absolutely the best gripping dog of any breed we have ever seen, and produces this in his puppies.
he will be bred this week to our young female C Izzy BMT (a full sister to the 2004 SchH3 HOT tournament winner.)details to follow.
Buttercup, my Kaiserhaus dog that was sired by Nitro, has an excellent, calm grip - and grips have been the weakness of many Mals that I've observed.
So I'm pretty happy there.
Seeing Nitro in action at a major trial was the real kicker for me to get serious about handling a Mal. The fact that he had about a zillion felony bites while an active duty Police Patrol dog added to his appeal.
Hey Cindy, when you're getting ready to take picturs of Nitro for posting, may I suggest lots of blurred shots of him in action, taken at night trials under poor lighting?
I'm pretty damn happy with my pup also. I know nothing about conformation. Lucky for me because i think Nitro looks great!
Nitro is 9, but you'd never know it to see him. another plus (IMO) about the Mals is how long they can work and breed. My female Aera was from Elgos's last litter and he was 12 (or maybe 13) when he was bred the last time.
Funny Will! lucky for me I already have some pretty good photos of Nitro already!
Not to toot the Nitro family horn….toot toot!..... but Nitro produces some outstanding working dogs. I’m aware of at least 5 Nitro pups that are PSD’s in different parts of the US.
The Good:
-A Deep, calm, and hard grip to die for.. I think a lot of that comes from being a Nelton son.
-Extreme ball drive…… Three trainers that know Nitro have said he is one of the
best narc dogs they have ever seen.
-Extreme hunt drive….. Will search for a tennis ball in a field of snow to the point of exhaustion if you let them.
-Outstanding tracking ability…….. Ever see a Mal that can out track 90% of GSD’s ???
- Hits like a freight train, has a nice civil side with just enough sharpness to make a really nice PPD or PSD.
-Controlability….. very level headed dogs that you can fuss away in the middle of a bite session without issue.
-Environmental stability... When we went to selection test Airus for PSD he climbed on top of an 8' file cabinet during a drug search.
The Bad:
-Can be a tad bit handler aggressive in the wrong situation.
-Can be very dominant if left unchecked.
The Ugly:
- As Will has mentioned prior….. “Nitro is perhaps the ugliest police dog I have ever seen”. Unfortunately my Nitro son, Airus, was slapped with the ugly stick and looks just like dad!
ACKK!!
I've been misquoted!
What I said was "Nitro is the ugliest dog that I've seen that was not chained up in a junkyard... "
And ...
"Nitro is living proof that a dog can still work well after being the victim of a tragic radiation spill, or whatever natural disaster happened to bring about that "interesting" look of his. "
Fortunately, Buttercup has inherited his mother's good looks and sweet personality. Wait.....Aera will engage you for real! Well, Buttercup is cute at least
Check out the classic picture of Cindy and her first Dobe "Twiggy", taken sometime just after the invention of the camera...
