Wouldnt have thought this breed would loose so much of their short hair. but damn, i have to vacuum his room every 3 or 4 days. is he having an issue with his hair or does this sound sort of normal.
LOL... welcome to the world of the shedding monster. It is normal. People don't realize that short haired dogs shed, but they shed as much as a german shepherd.. it is just a different type of hair...
If the dog doesn't seem to be re-growing the hair, that would indicate a problem...
VanCamp.......YOU vacuum? That's very un-macho....I hope your wife appreciates you being in touch with your feminine side. You don't put one of those little french maid suits on now do you? I'm VERY proud of you.
Damn VanCamp ..... consider yourself lucky - my vacumn cleaner belt broke and they are having tax free school savings weekend here in NC ..... don't go on the road! The fur bunnies are swirling every time I walk through the hallway ..... but come Monday I should be back in business ..... hopefully ......

Dobe, ok, maybe they don't shed as bad as a GSD, but they still shed a lot more than people realize. I used to stand in the kitchen petting my dog and I would look down and there would be a black outline where the dog was....
A lot of short coated dogs shed a little bit continuously. The thicker coated dogs usually have MAJOR shedding in late spring(my area).
One rule you must follow is, if you have dark carpeting/flooring, you must have light colored dogs. If you have light carpeting/floors, you must have a dark coated dog.
I can picture VanCamp dusting the floors with the hair on his knuckles. As far as the French maid outfit, Deanna gave enough of a visual imiage, I don't even want to go there.
