We've been asked to cross post this received by me via PSARC. Sounds a good way to MAKE a dog dangerous to me.
Information Needed:Working with SAR, THERAPY DOGS, OR OTHER WORKING DOGS, Rotties, PitBulls, Mixes--ALL States across the U.S.

Hi,
I was just contacted by the NJ Dog Federation. NJ legislators are pushing through a rapidly moving bill to label all pits, pit mixes, and Rottweilers as dangerous dogs. And yes, this one has a
good chance of passing- the Dog Federation has never seen a bill moving up so quickly! It would allow towns to charge up to $750 per
year for licensing, require ALL dogs that the town deems to be a member of these breeds to be muzzled in public, never off lead, never on a lead longer than 3 feet, and contained at home in a
padlocked covered dog run. It would be up to an owner to PROVE that their dog isn't one of these breeds if the town challenges them.
They are requesting contact information for anyone in New Jersey currently working a SAR dog that would fit this description. I
would also like to hear from anyone nationwide who works such a breed. We would like to present them with as many examples of why it is impossible to lable an entire breed as possible.
Please- If you work a Rottie, Pit, or mix that could be labeled as one of the above, please contact me, and let me know what state you are from.
PLEASE CROSS POST THIS TO ANY SAR, THERAPY DOG, OR OTHER WORKING DOG SITES YOU BELONG TO.
