No Ivan the'Metaal-apport' like ammo, keys, etc is something a dog has to learn, and the best time to learn that is at a young age because then they retrieve almost anyhthing. Ofcourse u don't start with too small objects(because of the danger of swalloing it), but u can use a small metal pipe or something. We never had a dog that doesn't retrieve metal, some picked it up more easily then others but at the end they all did it, And my father trained and worked with policedogs for 40 years so we had a lot dogs through the years so we have a lot of experience.
So Ivan hope I answered your question.

So Ivan hope I answered your question. Yes you did, thank you! Did not mean to question your experiance.
Must be realy nice to work all your life and never run into dog that won't retrive. Thats what good lines and picking a good puppy is for.
Hi,
I know u wasn't intended to question our experience just said we had so many dogs to explain it is just a matter of consistent training.
Wasn't my intention to brag or something just explain another doglover.....after we are all doing the same thing right?
U can ALWAYS learn from eachother.
Greetings,
Ab
