I had a female that was bred to him, but didn't take I also have a male that's dam is Asko's sister, Assi. Same drive, same temperment, awesome dog.
Friend of mine has an Asko daughter out of Anja Kassler Kreuz, Yelli Kassler Kreuz SchH3 OFA good, elbows normal. This is an exceptional bitch in the work. A very athletic, biddable, sound nerved, civil, fast, hard biting bitch. She was SchH3 by the time she was 2 years 2 weeks old. The handler is planning on showing her at the Nationals this year. She is also H/O/T.
She got her from Edgar Kaltenbach at about 8 or 9 months. Before that she was in a pet home, I believe, and proved to be way too much dog.
Finally someone answears my questions about asko, thanks! Asko is a very good SCHdog, winner of WUSV 2000, and placing first and second in BSP98-99. But I wonder if he also produce pups suited for PP and servicework, if I remember right, Ed said that top sportdogs often doesn´t produce the character needed for policework.
Stig,
The Asko daughter I talked about above is also a PPD. Maybe her civil side is coming from her dam. Her handler just bought an Asko son, puppy, that she hopes will be as good as the bitch.
We had another Asko son in our group for awhile that was also very nice. I don't know the rest of his breeding, though.
