Everyone was of great help witht he Czech dog that I have for getting the papers, does anyone know what the process is for the Slovkain dogs papers, what must be done to get an export pedigree? Thank you again, but I have to registar another dog.
Michael.. you are right.. it is two totally different things..and a pain in the butt! I am also working on trying to get original export paper.. i have copies.. but no original.. if I make progress.. I will let you know!
What have you done so far, as I have his papers but no export peddigree at all. ANother question is if he is USA reg. are these transferable to AKC? Is this possiable. It might be easier.

May be this will help you. I have mine export pedigree, but unfortunately it was done in the language of the country (not much difference with Slovakia if I am not mistaken) that the dog was imported from. So I had to translate it (by the way pedigree states also the owners of the parents, to whom the dog is sold to and place of residence of the new owner)plus the original customs papers that came with the dog. Unfortunately mine was imported from the country, that is not recognized by CKC (I am in Canada, may be the same applies to States) so you would have to check this and plus the dog has to reach 1 year of age, when he will be examined by the commision before it will be registered with the club.
May be this will help, so you will now what kind of problems you will encounter later .
You must have Export Pedigree from SUCHNO in Slovakia along with tranfer of ownership letter. You cannot register a dog with Slovakian or Czech pedigree, it has to be Export Pedigree. You can register with AKC with copies of Export Pedigree and transfer of ownership letter, USA requires the originals.
Just curious, I own 4 dogs from Czech/Slovakia and never had to do anything myself to get these papers. They were all done for me at no addtional cost from country of origin. It took anywhere from 4-6mo. to get them and never had any trouble getting them. How come you guys have to do it yourselves?

Can't speak for CKC but here (US) the dog has to come from FCI regonized country for you to be able to register AKC/USA. Both Czech and Slovakia are FCI regonized.

Slovakian Export Pedigree comes already translated, Czech doesn't but their transfer of ownership letter does and thats good enough for AKC and USA.

The dog was coming from UA, the country is not recognized by Canadian Kennel Club, god know why?(they have all those trial shows with germand judges and al the Shutzhund, IPO's over there)but unfortunately they do not do export pedigree's in the language of the importer, plus their letter of ownership that you state is on the title page of the pedigree - that's the way they do it ( I really had to translate and notirize it to be elligble to register the dog in few months).
I see that you Hanna is familiar with Czeck/Slovakian dogs, may be you can give me some info on dogs from Osinovoi Rozie, as my pedigree is mostly Kirchental and checz lines (looking at SZ registration numbers). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
