I have been informed of an upcoming mating that would "aparently" suit me ( i like big, hard, serious type dogs that still like a cuddle and don't want to kill people for fun)
Is there anyone that knows a bit about Chech type lines to give me an opinion on what im looking at?
I can forward the email that i was sent so you can see 4 generations.
thanks for any help anyone can offer, i want a good SCH dog here and he will probably be my future stud dog as well so i don't want any nervy show sh*t type dog.
Ok, that helps - not <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I must have mis-heard my friend when he shouted to me from the car when he said he would send me the pedigree.
One of the Great great great grand dogs is Mink Vom Haus Wittfeld, i believe he is a good dog, is this so?
I can email the pedigree to anyone who may have and idea or opinion - just provide the address>
Please - Im a trainer kind of person not a breeder - (yet) Any help will be of use.
I have a Mink Great Grandson through Ed's Otis. How far back is a dog before the genetic influence is nominal? I really like my dog, he is all I hoped for and has Queck in him also.

The dam of this litter, Ella, is only 18 months old. The SV genetics CD shows her date of birth as 10/14/00. She is basically West German working lines. The hips behind her sire are not the greatest, but her dam has a low Zuchtwert. Personally, I would want to know how the bitch was tested to know that she is suitable for producing working or sport dogs.
I couldn't find the sire, Zeno, doing a quick search, but his sire, Rambo, is a Belgian dog by Rocky Blitsaerd and out of an Orry Haus Antverpa daughter. Zeno's dam, Quicke, is a German dog by Crok Erlenbusch (by Mink) and out of Ilwa Karthago. I would want the same question answered about Zeno.
Thanks for the replys, the bitch has not been mated as yet, i think they are waiting for the next heat.
Thanks for the heads up on the hips, i will see if i can find out what their scores are.
Question, If both of the parents come back with good hip scores would i still be tempting fate as far as passing on bad hips if i breed in the future with an offspring of this mating - put over a bitch with good hip lines?
thanks again
