Here we go, this should be an interesting topic.
If you could create a working GSD to your ultimate taste what lines would you want in the "line up"?
And what work would you want these lines for?
Let it rip <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> !!!
Bodo vom Graefental (a former DDR sieger) was not bred heavily enough IMHO. Part of this was due to some reproductive problems he had at midlife.
However, most Fideldo Guide Dogs and some dogs used by the Connecticut State Police trace their lineage back to Bodo. He produced dogs with very good bone, dark pigment, and rock-solid nerves.
I would have to say Gildo Korbelbach over Natan Busecker Schloss. My first dog was this and she was my dream dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Abraxas Von Der Traumenheim SchH I
There are still quite a few Dasty sons and daughters around and some have reached the top ranks of Schutzhund. Dasty was a highly prepotent male and his offspring tend to be quite similar: dark pigment (many black black-and-tans), slightly toed-in gait, crushing full-mouth grip, social temperament. Dasty was a great dog, no doubt, and should have been bred more.
BTW thanx for the Bodo link, Dogma <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
