I am planning on getting a pup from Tiekerhook next year and I would like to ask if anyone has first hand experience of the dogs that come form that kennel? do some make hard PSD's or mainly good sport dogs??
What are the best known Tiekerhook dogs and dpo anyone have links to their web-sites please.
I am just looking for a broad opinion on the dogs that come from there! I know there is good and bad from all breeders but would just like to know if the kennel and more importantly what comes out of there are held in high regard or not!!
Any comments you all have to offer will be appreciated as I want to choose my next pup from the very best stock available!!
I was looking for sensible opinion on Tiekerhook dogs not about the price of the pups, in any case I dont know where you got that price from as it is nowhere near the price I was quoted, maybe he has 'special' prices for stock he sends across the Atlantic! Please refer to my original post for the question and if you have anything sensible to add then I am interested in hearing it!!
When I was looking for a puppy out of Nick, I was quoted a price of 2500.00 from the Tiekerhook kennel. That was about 1200.00 too much. All in all I think he produces some good dogs and some not so good just like any other breeder.

Brad Well if he were quoting in gilders prior to the advent of the Euro then it would of been only around 1200.00
But, in all fairness I have seen soem great stuff out of steffi tiekerhook.
Does anyone think that $1500 is the most that should ever be charged for a pup then?? With no exceptions from any breeding anywhere?
Is there any breeding combination that you guys would pay top dollar for because of the proven get they have produced?? A Mink pup or a pup from Steffi v T maybe?? What combo would really whet your whistle??
