I posted this question on the conversation board already , but figured this is the section to get a response.I recently purchased a sch1 gsd from Germany and I am trying to learn as much as i can about blood lines, training, etc. The name of our female is Gesha von der Ansbach, parents are Dusty vom Schmiedegarten and Enya von der Ansbach.I would appreciate any comments and opinions on her background.
Have you researched her pedigree at all? You can also talk to the breeder, they usually are more than willing to tell you about the bloodlines. If her parents participated in any major events, you can search their results. Check SchH USA and other trial information. I love to research pedigrees. I researched my GSD all the way back to Horand(Max. v. Steph. GSD). I'll see what I can come up with the two names you supplied.

Not sure if you already knew, but Dusty participated in the 2001 LGA under judge Hassen(not sure if I spelled his name right) scoring a 285. He placed hi up on the list. I found your girl along with her Mother Enya. Enya is related to my male. Her Father is my male's Grandfather. So your girl and my male has the same Grandfather. These are nice lines. I see that your girl has a few show lines, but more working. This is all that I've found so far, it's past my bed time.
I'll try to find more stuff later. Brandi
Thanks for the info. Brandi. I did not know that about Dusty. As i mentioned i am learning about these different bloodlines, it is just that most on this board are more experienced than I am. And thanks again for your input.
Dusty also participated in the 2002 FCI Landesgruppen(LG), scoring 97, 88, 88 = 273 and placing 20th under the same judge, Hessen. Handled my Melanie Ebor. Never found anything on your dogs Mother.
Just wanted to let you know.
