Here's another one, would like thoughts on a dog with these lines, just wondering what this combination is like (health, temperament, drives)...
Rani von der Daelenberghütte
Belschik von Eicken-Bruche (I've seen quite a bit of information on Belschik)

Quana von der Maineiche (goes back to Xento)
Asko von der Lutter

Thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You can email Rani's breeder at rinus.bastiaansen@pandora.be he bred her, and then had her for a while before she was sold to the US. I believe David Puzzo had/has her now.

Rani is a really nice female and was a super producer. David did own her, but placed her in a pet home after her working/breeding career. She is now 9-10 years old.
I had the opportunity to see some of her offspring from breedings with Champ v Barenfang and Tell vd Daelenbergutte. A female out of Tell (Asia v't Vierselhof) grew to be a nice sport dog and a male from Champ (Cisco v't Vierselhof)a Police Dog in NC.
There are a lot of other Rani offspring out there, some I know Rinus still has in his kennel.

I've only seen two Asko vd Lutter sons, different mothers - they both had excellent prey drive, good looking....and nervy as heck. Both were insecure with people and new places. They showed it in different ways - one was shy and would avoid, the other was aggressive but from fear. Have no idea if this is common or unusual in his progeny.

I train with a guy who imported 2 daughters of Asko - both OFA's excellent...he spayed and gave both away for exactly the same behaviors as Lee B. cites. He could have gotten them through the BH and the SchH1 on home field. I respect that he did not, as he stated that was just stackign the deck and the dogs were NOT good enough to be bred. Another dog I know is similar in nerves, and that dog's dam goes to Asko's sire as well.

Thanks everyone for your honest information, that is exactly what I was looking for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Are there other lines out there that are known for problems?

What lines are known for good temperaments with balanced drives, and good hips?

				To correct my previous post.
Tell is a Rani son and was NOT bred back to him.
I'm trying to remember Asia's sire now.

Obviously not enough caffeine this a.m.

Sorry for the confusion.

Asia was by Nessel v h Antwerpa I believe...I talked to David when that litter was born...Asia was kept, sold, and bought back as owner was ill..supposed to be a super nice working bitch! She was not for sale when I talked to David.
Tell produced 2 litters in Texas with terrible hips - same bitch - so maybe just a bad cross???...know a lady who has a neutered male with one good, one bad hip.

Thanks Lee, you're right, it was Nessel. She is a really nice female, always impressed me.
