Am I the only one here that will admit to reading this one? I bought it, read it, and liked it a lot.
This book is not a good training or imprinting manual or anything, nor is it a hard core working dog book. What is special about it is the obvious love and respect that these people have for their animals. Those ideals come through in the books overall message, and also in the understanding these guys have of canine nature. This book really is the best puppy book I have read that illustrates how to build a great relationship with your new little buddy.
I wasn't expecting much, but I was glad I read this one, not a usual occurance with most of the dog books I read. The material in this book is important not only for pet owners, but I think also for working owners. I think that a lot of the junk in here can help in building a real working relationship with Fido Jr..
I have not read their other book, How To Be Your Dogs Best Friend, but I think I will. Anybody else like these books?
As I have mentioned in a prior post every trainer has one dog that can never be replaced. Mine was Rabiat Von Leerburg. Hit him for going into drive? I think I kissed him. After I stopped the bleeding that is.
