It appears to rival and surpass Elizabeth Marshall Thomas' The hidden life of dogs. Full of anecdotes between dogs and owners, Ms. Clothier's, and memories from her own life. Have read some excellent reviews on this book.
Mine is still on order.
Listed as an alternate selection by The Literary Guild, Quality Paperback, Doubleday Book Club and One Spirit.

Have a nice day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I am reading this right now.......my good friend Janet Devich, of D.I.G.S in Joliet,IL(Dogs In Great Shape) is good friends with Suzanne and gave me a copy a couple weeks ago.
So far it's very good although some guys may think it is the book version of a 'chick flick'
Deals a lot with feelings and emotions, and lets face it........most of you guys out there don't want to let on that you have those 2 things. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
You mean there's no book club?
No one gets to meet as a group, sit around with a glass of wine, a nice dinner and a box of Kleenex reviewing said book, emoting, and sharing?
Not even a Koffee Klatch?
How about a Better Brews and Books Brotherhood?
Come on....there must be some guy out there willing to get in touch with his feminine side. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Feelings....Nothing more than feelings...... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I know it's been a while since this topic was first opened and since then I have read the entire book "bones would rain from the sky". I can't say enough good things about it. I don't think there is any other book that has changed my line of thinking about my relationships with not only my dogs, but the people I have in my life.
I highly recommend this book to everyone.... I know it has made me question my training methods and see myself from my dogs point of view. It's not "light" reading but is a book I know I will read more than once or twice.
I know Karmen and Deanna are both reading it, hope to hear their input too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I love reading about ANYTHING to teach me about my dogs. Gona have to get that one.
