I've heard that in the "good old days" the dogs at the BSP were stronger than in recent years, with more real aggression. OK, so Leerburg sells BSP videos from 1984-1995. Which one of these tapes would you folks recommend for showing strong dogs?
Thanks
Go the the earlier one's. This is before Schutzhund got watered down. I just got the 90 one today from Ed, and there still seems that some of the dogs had real aggression compared to some of the later years. I wish Ed had some of the earlier 80's video's to take a look at them. There are also a few good dogs in the later video's too. Buy a few so you can compare the difference in dogs over the years.
The 86 BSP tape Ed sells is a good one, its got all the big names...Helmut Raiser,Franz Gugnan..who won that year..I forget what place my wife got, her scores were something like 96-94-92, but i'd have to check. Its great to look back at the old BSP tapes because you can see some of the dogs that are in your dogs pedigree. ALL the tapes are worth a look at.
Iv'e just been looking at Ed's list of tapes and got another reminder of how little I know. There are DVG, etc.tapes. Duh! Which are the BSP? I'm going to bed and rest my feeble brain.

Well, I screwed up on my previous post....am not very well versed in this stuff.
Anyway, I'm curious about the comment "before Schutzhund was watered down". I've been training in personal protection for a year and a half. Out of curiosity I went to a Schutzhund trial this summer. How was Schutzhund different "back then" compared to now?
