Yes, people say all the time be careful on linebreeding on Grim. I can't seem to find my stats here anywhere, but with the amount of times Grim was bred I felt they were acceptable. Just be careful.
I am going to give away a big secret. My breeding program is built(and continuing to be built) around two dogs. Grim z PS and Mink vh Wittfeld. I am working on setting up a 3-3 Grim and a 3-3 Mink. It is down the road, but I have the plans for it. Also, I have a bitch when able to be bred 3-5 Grim 3-5 Titus. So I don't hold much stock in the hips thing. I have carefully selected who I am doing it with and so forth.
I have a Grim son, and just purchased 2 Grim gsons. Both from different fathers. Gives me 3 way access to Grim. Anyway, in answer to your question, if it was a puppy, I would take a chance on a 2-3. Sounds like fun.
As long as the other half is from good producing hips I would think that would be a good match. Breeding to Fetz if it worked out you get a 3-3 Grim with Mink in the 4th. Nice!!!

Old topic here but did anybody ever do a close Grim linebreeding? And if so how did it turn out? I ask this because about Christmas time I should have a nice 3:3 Grim litter on ground. All the dogs are O/O hips and elbows and all good workers in the pedigree so we shall see. I plan on keeping one or two for myself to train out as adults so I can see firsthand how they turnout. Ultrasound in about 21/2 weeks. Fingers crossed-Derek
