This boy may be younger than 10 months old. His cage is 546 and id 117282. With due out date on Saturday, he can be killed when they close Saturday afternoon so they don't have to feed him and clean his run through the weekend! http://community.webshots.com/photo/27595022/155455261vwSJSt
I have a transport to MO Saturday so am unavailable to pull him. If you can help, contact Jeanne with RAOT at BOTH email addresses: Mingostar@aol.com and RAOTINC@aol.com
Kerry
I am trying to have this boy pulled for me (Im in Ct) but am not having any luck, if someone can pull him for me or wants to adopt him for themselves please take a look at him, he has until saturday.
This section of the board is for rescue, but was intended to deal with primarily working line- or high drive dogs that will need special placement. To get a random dog pulled from an animal shelter there are breed specific lists of people who dedicate their lives to this on Yahoo! Groups. Those lists are much more active, since that is their specialty, and you would be wise to post a request to a GSD rescue list. Transports are arranged and dogs are moved from those lists daily.
thanks...sorry, just thought Id give this place a shot too...thought it was GSD rescue...didnt realize it was working line only
this was actually the last place Ive tried...this started on another thread on another board through a rescue group...everyones doing transports or otherwise busy on this saturday...I wont post again

Hmmm, I went to the sire to check out the dog, and I couldn't find it! Hopefully this means that it was saved from an awful fate. Truthfully,I was very upset by the "gone but not forgotten" aspect....tooooo sad what happens to so many animals......
No one ever said life was supposed to be easy, life is what you make of it!!
Having had pulled and fostered dogs from this shelter I can tell you they are wonderful GSD..... I do not mean they are working dogs, but would make a wonderful addition to any home. The one thing is they most likely have heartworm. I also know this dog is listed on germanshepherds.com This is a horrible shelter, they spray the kennels down with the dogs in the cage. Everyone of the dogs that I have seen come out of there have had URI, Heartworm, and a variety of other things, but all have pulled through and been very good dogs.

German Shepherd - Rescue
This part of the board is for people trying to find homes for dogs - if there is a price for someone to foster a dog it needs to be posted - if it's more than $100.00 you need prior permission from Ed - anyone trying to sell there dogs her will be banned from the web board
There are other threads in in this section for "rescue type" dogs (unknown if working lines, as well as retired service dogs)
MOD: I don't believe ED has outlined that this section is specifically for "working lines" only? (see heading above)
It would be nice to know since I now assist several GSD rescues in my part of the country with placement.
