His name is Caris. He is an Arys travnickova dvora grandson. He is solid black. SchH3, IPO3, and the coveted ZVV3. Only active ZVV3 in the US. I have been having fun with him. Unfortunatley I leave tomorrow. for vacation in FL. THen on to Flinks in Germany for two weeks. SO it will be about 3 weeks before I get to play somemore.

When you get a adult, fully trained dog, how do you go about bonding,sociolizing,getting respect? This seems, to my uneducated brain, to be a really tough job considering all the time someone else put in the dog before you get it and GSD's tendancy to be one man dogs.
It is a little difficult sometimes. Especially when they tell you ahead he is handler hard. I guess I am just a loveable guy, cuz there was no problem and I put it to him today since I was leaving I needed to know my kennel attendant could handle him. Just play is the main thing. We play and play and play. he was very standoffish at first. However, I found his 'spot' and we are best buddies.
Its strange, I was told Lery was going to eat me. Never even crossed his mind. When I reported back, they were amazed. Maybe I am the Dog whisperer...lol. Well, there is only one stud dog left that I am interested in. So maybe I will never encounter it. Cuz the goal is then to raise my own lines for studs and so forth.
