Well, I have my new addition at last. Fanni vom Haus Lord is at her new home in central Louisiana.
Many special thanks to Mike Russell for taking the road trip from hell with me to pick Fanni up at vom Haus Lord Kennels in Tn. Your presence made the trip so much better.
Thanks to Michael and Debbi Hoggatt for bringing Scott vom Haus Antvertpa to the states, the photo's on your website do him a big injustice. He is an awsome K-9. Fanni will fit in perfectly in Louisiana being that she is part alligator.
Check out their website.
And I guess the biggest thanks goes to my wife for aggreeing to let us add another member to our K-9 family.
Now the fun begins getting the Akita to accept Fanni, me nuturering her to become a quality working GSD. With the help of some many friends and Board Members I should be able to see our goals completed. AGAIN THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE HELPED AND TO THOSE WHO WILL HELP IN THE FUTURE!
Congrats to you and I know how you feel, I just got a new one too! One of Ed's pups! I've been reading this board for a while and I feel I know everyone already. Keep posted with her progress and maybe will can compare notes!
Not a problem, Butch. I really enjoyed the trip. And Scott was a sight to behold, I personally think that he still acts like a 3yr old. The whole litter looked good, but I think we picked you out the best fit. And that girl sure does have some good nerves. Now we get to start that challenge of training...and like I said on the way back, I can't wait to get that girl on the sleeve
I've been playing with her using a section of water pipe insullation(foam type) she can't seem to get enough of it.(not to worry, only a few minutes at a time)
Pup has settled in well in the kennel. I'm afraid the Akita will be a problem, may take some time with those two getting used to each other. The GSD investigated what ws making that noise in the kennel and ignored her since then. Some breeds really have good sense.
Yes, Scott vom Haus Antvertpa was impressive to say the least. I believe I could find a home for him in my kennel.
I'm glad I was able to get a pup from his first litter in the United States. I also need to mention that the dam Didi van Darlushof SchH3,IPO3,FH,KKL1 f/life may have contributed to this pups genetic makeup.
You will have to post some pictures of your bloody ankles in a few weks Butch! Hehehehe I know your going to have a good time with the new puppy luppy, it makes me happy just to know you have arrived at the pinnicle of your last years dream. Good job man!
Keep the faith and may the nerve gods be with you.
