Ok, so I realize that my tolerance for dog hair is not normal to some people, and much like a vegitarian, I live by the "to each his own" mantra and don't try to change peoples way of thinking, but I had a very cute thing happen today that I want to share.

I had to go hiking with my "adoptive parents" (I am not adopted, nor are they my parents, but they pay for my education, good deal) before they go back to the UK for the winter, and I took Gunther with me. Gerry has never really been around dogs much, and is somewhat afraid of them, but Gunther kept gravitating to him at the beginning of our hike. It didn't matter what side of the trail Gerry would go to, Gunther would want to be with him, and Gerry, who has walked a dog ONCE in 65 yrs ended up walking Gunther for most of the 2 hrs we hiked. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

It was very cute. When bikes would pass he would stop with him and Gerry would tell him to "hang about" in his true british accent, and Gunther did... Not that I have ever even said "hang about" much less taught my dog that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I got some great photos of them walking together from behind where Gunther is looking up at him... It was just really nice to see someone, who doesn't like "big dogs", enjoying one for a change.

Obviously Gunther read something in Gerry that Gerry didn't know he had. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> dog. Gerry must be a pretty neat guy. I put a lot of faith in a dogs jugement of people.

Is one not supposed to post pictures around here?

I know you all have pictures of your dogs in action (or whatever). I'd certainly like to see them.
