Has anyone had experience with either the PreMate or Draminski ovulation test kits?
I'd like to do at-home testing to avoid trips to the vet . Sick dogs go there and cost is high for repeated testing!
The PreMate kit requires blood to be drawn and compared to control solutions, similar to traditional progesterone testing done by the vet's lab. Ongoing, supplies must be replenished, but per-test price is about $18. Company is in Canada.
The Draminski device is a probe that evaluates vaginal mucus. You then watch the trend of the readings. A high one-time cost of about $400. This company is currently testing an at-home ultrasound pregancy detector, price unknown. Company is in Poland, and makes testing equipment for cows & pigs also.
