I am always affected by the full moon, I can't sleep at night for a couple days before and during a full moon. I noticed my dogs are restless at night too.

I mentioned being out walking the dogs at midnight at training once, and when asked why, I explained I can't sleep well when there is a full moon. My TD said her dogs didn't sleep then either....
Part of me likes to walk then because I can see for once and stuff looks cool in the moonlight. The dogs are up for walking anytime! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I also believe the moon affects the dogs.. I do many many obedience classes and on the nights of a full moon.. all the dogs are zoomy! Kinda neat actually..
My dad's a fishing nut and reads time tables religiously with the moon. It affects everything in nature if I'm not mistaken. I think there's truth to that.
I don't think your assumption is offbase at all. I'd even like to see the criminal activity statistics on a full moon night just for fun, lol.

My 2 year old female, Schatzi, chases a full moon. She will see it and go bounding through the fields while gazing up at it. She does not chase any moon but a full one. Normally when she runs, she rips and tears--especially when she chasing something. But when she chases the moon, she's graceful as a deer. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Usually the huskies are quiet at night but I have one "singer" who howls when it is a full moon - not loud, just a low tuneful nice howl. Sounds pretty good if you like a good howl.
OK I can tell you it effects me cause I am officially grumpy today because of that d*mn full moon.

It keeps me up and I can't sleep. I kick the dogs out of the room on full moon nights cause I am already disturbed by the moon and don't want any dogs thinking it's time to get up and play all night long.
