I thought a moderator closed this thread a while back? You keep putting the same information under different "subject" names.. Would someone please close this thread ONCE AGAIN? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
Hey - seriously now! I am trying to learn here! If you don't want to help me then I'll go somewhere else. This is info I got on another board and wanted and opinion on how to respond on. How do you argue this point of view? Could someone please be respectful and help me out here?
Pauline - you have come to a working dog forum....
Most of the people here on the board live and breathe dogs. Some of them base their professions on dogs - working dogs. They see a lot of dogs on a daily basis and see how some of the practices and politics of dog showing have created dogs that are unable to follow their original function. No one is slamming you for having a companion dog. It is a free world and you can have whatever kind of dog you like. But working dogs have to be bred to be working dogs first and foremost. Function IS what makes the dog what it is. And contrary to the quotation you supplied in another post most breeders of working dogs are MORE selective about the health and FUNCTIONAL aspects of the form of the dog than alot of show breeders who focus only on cosmetics.
OK...This foolishness again? Do we need to start this over and over again? I think not. Thread closed. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
