Hey guys, and you know who you are, can we please not dredge up deep deep old threads?
Deanna had a great idea. If you want to open a new topic about an old thread quote the parts you think make for a new discussion and get a new one rolling. Or post a link to the old one and work it that way.
Digging up old threads and posting a, "You hit the nail on the head", comment is. . .well kinda annoying. Just start up a new one. . .there are plenty of discussion junkies that will keep talking about a topic once a new thread is posted.
(vancamp)<----- one right here
Thats what I would like to see happen. Old doesn't mean bad, it just seems like a better idea to post new topics.
I agree. Sometime in the last few days a training issue was dredged up on a dog of mine that is no longer with us, so lets keep things current.
As I stated in another post, in a lot of the older threads there are people who don't even post here anymore, for one reason or another. If you want to argue with nobody, then the old posts are a good way to do it.
While I do agree with you, the problem with this idea is that a lot of times when people do just that, they get a response something like "there are a ton of old threads on this subject, go read them, this thread is closed". What is someone to do in this situation?
Yes, the search works really well. I use it myself on a regular basis if I have a problem. You will be amazed at the amount of info that is here for you, but do not hesitate to open a thread if you do not get an answer or are unsure. If you will open a new thread, you will get more response from ACTIVE members of the board.
