It seems that alot of people that sell Czech dogs show the same dog and picture. The pics. I have seen are in front of the same concrete wall. Does anyone know what Kennel that is?
Jim, check out Eurosport K-9 website. They pose lots of their dogs in front of a concrete block wall. You really have to look twice to distinguish one sable GSD from another on some of those pics.
I'm unaware of anyone who has the ability to purchase dogs directly from the Pohranicni Straze kennel other than Jiri at Jinopo and possibly a few others that live in the Czech Republic. I don't even think the Pohranicni Straze has a website but if they do I'll love to know what the address is. Not saying that it is impossible because money does talk. Can you supply a few links with these dogs posing in front of this briick wall?
Glenn- take a look at the eurosport k-9 page look at the pic of Alk. Or look at vom field crest shepherds and look at Chaky, or von zoeller kennels and look at dasty. I am not saying anything bad about anyone just curious as to what kennel they are all getting their dogs from.
I think what you are referring to is really not all dogs coming from a particular kennel, but more from a bunch of photos that are being taken by a dog broker. When people buy the dogs, they often take the photos from the websites they got the dog from initially.
Seems like a logical reason for SO MANY dogs with the same background in their photo.
The last I heard, the Pohranicni straze kennels are disbanding and dispersing at the end of this year. I heard that the breeding stations are being closed down and dogs sold off. Not that this means that the country won't have working dogs in their border patrol or military, as they have trusted "civilian" breeders that they purchase from as well.
Re: the dogs on multiple sites, Deanna hit the nail on the head.
I understand what Deanna is saying. My question is although brokers may post the pics. they all seem to be coming from the same kennel. Does anyone know what kennel they are all getting these dogs from?
Not all of the dogs are from the same kennel. If you look at the dogs' registered names, you'll notice there are different kennel names. However, some might be in the same region, even train at the same club...or maybe the broke asks the people to bring the dogs to his location...and pictures are taken for the websites and to send to prospective buyers.
The BROKER is the one who is taking the photos. That is why so many have the same background. They are in the business of selling dogs, people bring a dog to sell and do not have photos, so they take photos of the dog to put on their site. It is their facility you are seeing, not the breeders facility. If you want to know the kennel the dog has originated from, it is all in the name.
