I hope Ed Doesn’t mind, this is off subject.
Today I am proud to be British, I am proud that Britain is allied and a friend of America, and I am proud of what our forces along with Australian Special Forces have done for Iraq and its people. No nation on Earth should suffer the way the Iraqi’s have suffered for 35 years, and if it has to be done again in some other part of the world, i.e. N. Korea, then I hope we do it together.
Are Forces are a long way from being finished in Iraq, but I hope it will not be to long before are men and women are reunited with their loved ones.

This isn't garbage. The UK and Australia have again proven themselves to be our only true friends in a dangerous world (also I should mention the other nations that are lending MILITARY support). You are the only other countries with the moral backbone and guts to live up to our responsibilities as the leaders of the free world.
I am reasured and proud that your soldiers are over there with my own soldier brother taking care of each other, and more importantly the business at hand.
Long live the red, white, and blue. . .even if it is that funny looking X pattern.
As a fellow Brit, now living in Australia - who has American family and friends, all I can say is............. Thank god we stick together and fight for what is right!
No one would normally plan to fail, but plenty of us fail to plan!

My nephiew is a Lt in the Marines with the Ist Div. My Wifes nephiew is a F14 pilot on the USS Constellation. I'm VERY proud of them both. You never have to look over your shoulder with the Brits and Aussies along side of you. The'll always be there.
