I was interested in this topic from a historical point of view and wondered about the training and breeding programme of these paticular GSD's.
I posted the same on another board and received some excellent factual info which was what I was seeking. I was also treated with courtesy which costs nothing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Sorry if you think I am being stupid Ed but I was only asking for information on a topic where there seems to be a dire lack of written info.
Thank you also for the training video and leather leash but I don't suppose I shall be ordering any more goods from yourself.
Perhaps you would care to remove my testamonial from your site.
In my opinion yesterdays topic was inapproriate for my board. I stand by that position and if you wish to purchase training videos someplace else because I closed the threat - well so be it.
Ed
Gwenda, I am very new to this board and found everyone here to be informative and helpful. I read all the posts included in the Nazi vs. GSD. You said you were met with "hostility." Perhaps you might want to take note as to the description of the "General Conversation" paragraph and its meaning. I don't believe your topic was closed for any other reason than it did not fall under the clearly outlined description of what this board should be used for, "dog training information". I don't believe anyone was being discourteous, nor did anyone write anything that should make you feel as if your weren't welcome.
Personally I enjoy the boards because they stay on topic, Perhaps a website that is geared towards book clubs and book discussions would have been a more appropriate place to post your subject.
Oh My Dear Gwenda, sometimes as humans we shouldnt be so overly sensitive. In dog training language we call them weak nerved ones. Perhaps in humans we can still understand and maybe train ourselves to accept critism more constructively.

When the dog is confused, blame not the dog but shoot the handler.
You know guys--I agree with Ed. This question clear;y does not partain to training dogs.
But your comments don,t either.Get a life and move on to what were supost to be here for.
I am surprised this thread has not yet been closed.
General coversation does say "This is a dog and dog training forum. General conversation means "GENERAL CONVERSATION ON DOG's"
I think the problem is with the quotes in your posts rather then an individual attack on you. To most of us if not all of us the author's statements are so absurd. I was also not sure what you were asking exactly. There have been books written on the GSDs of the pre-war and WW2 era including those in Nazi Germany and occupied territories. Most books that cover the history of GSD's have a section on that era.
The thread was closed because of the absurd misinformation of the author you quoted not because of you personally
