On the Troll v h Melinda issue, I do not have a pup from him, but I can put you in touch with someone who does. PM me with your email address and I will ask him to talk to you, he is not on this board.
I have seen 6 Troll youngsters, and have worked 4 myself. 5 of the 6 are real nice, one was a bust. There are not guarantees in this sport, but I believe that Troll is a very good producer from the young dogs that I have seen. 4 were from one litter, those are now over 2 years old. And two males from another litter which are 20 months old.
Humankind is drawn to dogs because they are so like ourselves- bumbling, affectionate, confused, eaily disappointed, eager to be amused, grateful for kindness and the least attention Pam Brown
Hello!
First: Ed this website ROCKS. I have seen a few similar posts in the past, this one by far is the best. The whole web-site gives a lot of needed and usefull information
Second: I would like to thank everybody who comes in here and shares their ideas, and experience
Another (silly) question that I may have:
Has anyone worked any dogs out of Faro lines, and what do you think about puppies from Faro and Troll??? Sire is from Troll's lines and bitch is from Faro's. I have seen male: dog is "crazy" nice hard grips, very good in agitation work, some issues in obedience, dog is too in drive. Bitch apparently is also very high in drive.
Any thoughts are appreciated
I want to say though, that the Troll you are thinking of is not in fact the same troll you are in a thread about. The Troll that is a Fero vom Zeuterner Himmelreich son is Troll von der bosen Nachbarschaft, so if anyone wants to make comments on that particular dog's progeny you will need to open a new thread.
Troll vh Milinda is no relation at all to Fero. If you do a search on this board mentioning Fero you will come up with a lot of posts from previous discussions.
I love what I see from Troll v H. M., and I love the drive that Fero throws. Things to watch out for tho are the munchy grips that many Fero progeny throw (hopefully the pup got Troll's grips, which are awesome), and the ability to CAP all that drive. A dog with immense drive but no ability to contain it and focus it is absolutely worthless. It just produces hecticness. The Troll progeny I've seen have an incredible ability to focus it; the Fero ones don't. Your comment that the dog has obedience issues from being "too much in drive" makes me suspicious that this dog is hectic and lacks the ability to hold all that pressure inside and focus it.
