Has anyone one ever wondered why some people are so proud of their dogs when they are trying to sell them yet, they never post prices on their web site. I have noticed very few breeders price their pups or older dogs.
He who has never tasted soap has never bathed a dog
Originally posted by Norman Saul: I have noticed very few breeders price their pups or older dogs. Some, like us, don't post prices because for the right home for one of our pups, price is negotiable, to an extent. Some just have such outrageous prices that they lure you in and try to get you to commit before hitting you with sticker shock (found a couple of breeders that tried that with me...never to hear back from me).
On the same token, the breeder I purchased my pup from didn't advertise with a price, and I was given such a good price I had to ask him three times to make sure I understood him correctly. According to Ed I am about the only person he has ever known import a pup and not get screwed though. Dumb luck.
Don't assume that because they don't put the sticker on the window you can't afford it. Ask!

That's why I think I'd go to Rinus when I'm ready to add another dog with outside blood that I want to start from a pup. Assuming of course I don't go with another DDR/Czech dog.
Need Advice:
From all the major breeders on the East Coast, who in your opinion produces BEST prospects?
I understand there are a lot of good breederes, but which combination of Stud-Bitch has prodced the best pups??? I have seen Debbie with Escobar at the Regionals, and was very impressed, but am not sure where to find if she is breeding ? Also, I understand Troll vh Milinda produces very good prospects. Obviously, training plays a major role, but I think I got that part "covered"
Any advice, ideas, suggestions are appreciated.
I hope my questions is making some sense: I'm just trying to find a pup, which will have a potentiall of going all-the-way.
Thanks!
Best prospect at what? "Go all the way" at what? Big questions you need to ask yourself then be more specific. If I was looking to get a dog for more real world duties, I wouldn't be looking at the majority of the top sport dogs. If I was wanting a dog that would just do sport and nothing else, that would change my search criteria as well.
Lee, Thank you very much for reply. I tried searching the web, but could not find the phone number or website to contact them.
Do you have this info by anu chance?!?!
Ed! This site absolutelly rocks!!!!!!

The more I read, the more I realize how little I know
