Anyone have any experience with the dogs produced from this kennel? Needed some comments to assist as I may be trying to source a good pup from them for Schutzhund/Police service.
1) Need to know their general quality based on working dogs comparison.
2) Working Drives (Prey, Defense, fight) of their productions.
3) Any testimonials and records of their dogs in active working service.
4) How Long has this kennel being established
5) Who are the owners/trainers/breeder and their experience in this field.
6) Any other information you may want to share.
I don't mean to be intrusive with all these questions but I believe that good kennels with strong fundamentals will stand the test of times and questions <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> . I must admit that I found the website http://www.regalhaus.com.au to be impressive on their write up of the stock breed, looks also like a lot of linebreeding. Just needed a 3rd person info to complete the picture before I contacted them formally.
Thanks

James, A friend I train with has a 7mtn old Realhaus bitch(R litter) that is linebreed 3-3 on Legendary Australian hard dog Security Pekahia. She is a for real dog,has been since he got her.Low prey high defense.Even at this early age she will not let you in the yard.Big boned & that old shape.Looks like they have nice breedings happening. One of the main problems with Australian breeders is their lack of providing Registration Paperwork for their dogs.On average working pups cost $1500 each all say you get full paperwork But most don,t.It's happened to me & most people I know.Regal Haus provided Full paperwork for my freind. They would be at the top of my list for my next working dog . If anyone is interested I can give you the contact details for a bloke in QLD who has a couple of german imports, Bunderseiger (sp) dogs. I think one was runner up in Germany in about 96.
Not sure of all the details but they have been breeding for the RAAF and QLD police force. Some of their pups are in East Timor at the moment I believe. I think they do sell the odd pup privately.
You can contact me on buka@primus.com.au

JD, Thanks for your reply. I have some clarification needed.
When you mentioned "low prey drive and high defense" can you describe more? An all defense dog is not a good candidate for Shutzhund/police service. May relate back to nerve issue and will be too stressful for the dog.
Do you have the pedigree of Pekahia? and who is the dame?
Is your friend doing any basic work with his pup? What kind of work he does? I am just trying to see what his pup has gone through to have some clue of "low Prey and high defense"
Do you know who are the people behind Regalhaus? How experienced are they in the field of breeding and working? and how long has this kennel being in operations?
Most appreciative if you can let me know more information.
Anyone else? most welcomed.

Dot,
Thanks for the offer however are the people you mentioned legit? Prefer to get my pups with dedicated breeder who knows what they are doing and stand by their breeding outcome with a solid proofing. Someone like Frawley. Just that where I am, I couldn't possibly get from him without a big hassle and incurring huge transportation cost and stress to the dog. However I am interested if the contacts you mentioned does have a good company profile and history perhaps a website for further checkingout of the breedstock. I am by the way not looking at any odd puppy though. I'm looking for a high prey, natural retriver with an impeccable lineage of 100% proven working line. The puppy chosen will be trained and conditioned in SCH to start of the sport of ScH in my area.
Thanks again.

Thanks for your note. Don't mean to imply anything about Dot, never thought of and never will. So Dot don't feel bad OK! I know you are trying to help.
My question was intended to probe deeper which is why I also mention the intention of the PUP and his future career for your information. Can't really blame me as I don't have much info to work from. Appreciate if you can add a more detailed info. PM or send me a mail if it is more comfortable for you.
