Hi all!
I thought it would be proper to start my interactions here by simply introducing myself! Who am I? A soon-to-be 18-year old Swedish girl with a great passion for dogs of all breeds. At the moment, I'm the proud owner of a 3 y.o. Bearded Collie-bitch. This May i reserved a Rottweiler from a very reputable breeder of trained Shutzhunds. Unfortunately, the bitch had a miscarriage one and a half week before the expected birth and because of this I never even got to see my puppy, let alone take him home with me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I hope I have better luck next time. I'm planning on getting a puppy next fall, from the same breeder of course.
As you might figure I've gotten very interested in Schutzhund training, and I thought this might be a good resource for any questions I might have. At my local branch of the Swedish "Working Dog Association" I've gotten to know a lot of people working with what we call "Skydds". Skydds is the Swedish word for Schutz, as seen in Schutzhund.
I know I'm young, but bear with me. Fresh blood is always needed in any field of expertise, don't you agree?
Karolina - nice to have you on the board. You are the same age as my son. The sport needs more young people like yourself. Don't give up on your goal just because you had a rocky start
You are most welcomed. This is the right place to be for your regular resource. Don't be afraid to post any questions as from questions we will all learn better.

When the dog is confused, blame not the dog but shoot the handler.
