This is most likely something I should know anyway, but what is the deal with Malinois' having loose stools, and not being able to stay in one place when they are dropping the bomb? I have tried various types of food hoping to cure the "looseness" but nothing seems to work. It is a pain to clean up.
I know someone who has a Mal, and that dog takes a sh!@ like 5 times before it comes on to the field. Try adding cooked rice. it does wonders for my dog

I've seen several dogs not stay in one place and my Malinois isn't one of them...thank goodness! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

If you feed kibble, I would suggest getting a prescription gastro formula for a while. I kept my girl on a gastro formula for about 4 months after her tummy settled down. Also, during the initial switch to the gastro formula, she was given Tylocine - Tylan powder for a week or two to help solidify things. I then slowly switched her to the maintenance formula of that brand and she's been doing fine ever since.
She was an extreme case. She was so bad that she was tested for pancreatic enzyme insufficiency and for a major gastro-intestinal bacterial infection when the decision to put her on a gastra formulation was made.
If you don't want to go to a gastro formula, try a food that is lower in protein. For example, the maintenance formula that my girl is on right now is 18% protein. The lower residue diets seem to be easier for them to digest.
If you feed raw, others should be able to help you out.
but I feed my dogs a mixture of raw (meat & bones - mainly chicken necks, wings & thighs or meaty lamb & beef bones)in the mornings & par-cooked meat with veggies and/or rice & gravy in the evenings.
My dogs don't have sloppy stool problems on this feeding schedule. But they did prior to this, when I fed kibble.
I have been told that adding brown rice or boiled, mashed pumpkin to the diet can also firm-up stools.
BTW - my male terrier can't poop without walking around!
No one would normally plan to fail, but plenty of us fail to plan!
