But before you do, consider this. Just how much protection will you get from one of their offering named "Bax" who, listed under dogs for sale. He's listed as a level 1 personal protection dog. His cost to you: $6,495.
The best thing about him is that the dog is *NINE MONTHS OLD*
How do people get away with this crap?
Will Your RICH! By those standards, Fetz aughta be worth about 89,ooo dollars. Just tell the folks they have to get him out of his kennel by themselves............after they pay.
You could sell him two, three times a week.
I just added these people to my web site under the Buyer Beware section. I dont know but do I smell the old BADEN K9? Remember the BUNKER CLEARING DOGS they used to advertise (we all need 3 or 4 of those).
Anyway if you look hard at this site you will see it is up in Ont. Canada, Badden was from this part of Canada. Anyone recognize the guy in this photo?
Sadly, I have lots more sites to list - I try to pace myself to listing about two scam sites per week so I'm not overdoing it.
But I try to be fair and examine the sites closely - if I have any doubts, I don't say anything in public about them.
But if people are going to exaggerate and misrepresent dogs on the internet to prey on suckers and make a fast buck - I'm going to post a link for the forum users of Leerburg's viewing pleasure.
And I've got some doozies to post, too!
And Bob, now weren't you *petting* the Fetzer dog at Ed's seminar last Oct.? And you've still got all your fingers, right? See....the bad press that my sweet little puppy gets is just evil rumors! Why, I'll have his therapy dog title any day now!
oh thats nothing! I wish I could find the site now but when I was lookin around online at various kennels I came across "personal protection dogs" that were around 25,000.00
nope I didnt put too many zeros in there 25K
and get this...they were all west german dogs, a couple had roached backs...now dont get me wrong, I love west german dogs (hey like pretty and am pretty laid back myself!) but for something with serious drive and nastiness???? Id take east german/Czech dogs anyday
and I mean nastiness in the nicest sort of way
I was watching a show the other day, where Britney Spears purchased 2 "personal protection dogs" for $30k each for her home!
What was funny about this is when the trainer did a demo; he did some simple obedience with one of the dogs in a kitchen, then took a sleeve bite himself on the same dog. One would think he would've set up a better demo for national tv to get any credibility for those rip off prices. But then again, the general public probably thought that was a pretty cool demo.
I think one thing that your not considering (at least with the Britney Spears dogs) is that they are showline GSD's which accounts for alot of the pricing issue. 30k showline GSD's are not that unusual. finding one that bites is another story altogether. I know the trainer that sold those dogs and he's been captain of the Schutzhund USA world team more several times, so i wouldn't consider him a complete slouch when it comes to training. He is however, a business man and a great salesman. Here's his site http://www.californiak9.com The website alone acounts for one dog sale per year..ha..ha
