Just for background - I am a paralegal at a defense attorney's office. there is a woman who is in here who has a tresspassing warrent sworn out against her. part of her story has to do with her neighbor's GSD, whom they (neighbors) claim is trained to attack black people. now, this sounds stupid and atrocious for more reasons than i want to list, but it brings me to this...
I have been told all my life that dogs don't see colors. Do they? I don't want to sound stupid, but are dogs really color blind, or is it different from the way we see at all?
Color is not all there is to a black person however. All of us are differant in smell to a dog. I once got a cocker from a hispanic family in so. Calif. The kids had abused it. It was fine with kids. But any time a hispanic would get close the dog would go nuts.

To the original poster. I think those claims are stupid. For one to make that claim you have to first claim that all black people are the same color.Black people are no more all the same color than white people are all the same color. The person could possibly claim the dog is trained to be agrressive to very, very dark skin people.Other than that, I dont think there is enough difference in the shades of people's skin.
Stop making excuses for your dog and start training it!
