Since there are so many people on this board that are familiar with so many different lines I figured it would just be easier to post here. What I am looking for is a male shepherd under the age of 2 that is good with kids and other dogs, can live inside and is capable of doing well in schutzhund. I am interested in the czech and ddr dogs but dont know enough about them at this point. So please feel free to let me know if you know of any dogs out there that might fit the criteria. And I am not a total newbie but i am still behind most here on the learning curve.
how old are the kids? what are they like with dogs? what are your other dogs? any particular reason you would favor a male over a female? and, what bloodlines are you looking at?
if there are no dogs in heaven, then when i die i want to go where they went. ---will rogers
We have a 5 year old son and may have another child in the next year or so. We currently have a 4 year old female sch 1 shepherd out of west german working lines and an 11 year old male Doberman. Honestly the lines of the dog are less important than the individual dog.
