I hear they end up in airplane crashes all the time. You're always reading in the news where they're trying to recover one after a crash.
I don't know that I'd want to own with their luck being so bad. I'd sure be afraid to ship one by air, that's for sure!!
I've seen quite a few on TV. Ali, Tyson, Foreman. I wouldn't call them dogs though, they were all great boxers! Sorry I just couldn't resist. BTW Will started it!

I have seen a picture of one in a book called Gladiator Dogs by Carl Semencic. Other than that though I have never seen one. Seen a couple of white ones. I really don't know that much about the breed to be honest.
I did a little more searching on the net and it seems that there might not be such a thing as a purebred black boxer. However there are reverse brindles which can appear to be very dark. Supposedly there are kennels that produce black boxers but most feel they are a mix. The picture I refered to earlier looked to me to be purebred, but looks don't count for much in these situations.
Black boxers dogs, I've never seen, I don't think there is a market for black boxers here in the states. I do know that the white boxer is being sold as a normal boxer they are even trying to form a dog club here!!
White and Black boxer use be outside the standards for a boxer. And quite frankly I've never seen an Black one.
My wife had a pretty white boxer, very muscular but he die at a very young age 4 yrs old, put down because he kept having uncontrollable seizures.
