I read in Dogworld that big dogs (over 50 lbs ) should be taught to sit up and begg. It is supposed to help keep back and spine in line.what do you all think of this. WHen growing up i was told not to train my golden to do this because it would hurt his hips. He lived to be 14 and never had problems with his hips.

I bet nobody knows for sure, I trained Max to do it. but I only make him do it for a moment. My friend has this fat ass beagle that can stay at it for minutes at a time. I've never seen any canids do it on thier own. If it were me I'd keep it a real short duration. I'm just a fat guy w/two GSD's
