CKC sponsors many performance events, and they are a performance club foremost and work their registry second. Some may not agree with the registry, but they have excellent performance events. March 19th in Milner, GA there will be an all breed agility, OB, Personal Protection, Tracking and temperment testing. The qualifiying dogs will be awarded titles. CKC truely puts forth effort to put on good trials, Below is the website which lists their events, and the rules for them. Also, the flyer page about the event in GA. Hope to see some faces out there.

*Grumble*
Naturally this would have to be going on at the exact same time that the South East KG Regionals for DVG are being held.
I'd get so much more done if I could just get cloned........

Could we just clarify that you're referring to "Chuck's" Kennel Club and not the Canadian Kennel Club?? :rolleyes: Not that I think our registry is much better... oops, did I say that out loud???!!!
Thanks!
Tammy.

:rolleyes: OMG! here we go :rolleyes:
WILL R. lock this one up brother I can see this post and friendly message to you is going to be taken out of hand by others, Nothing more needs to be said about this other than a trial this weekend I encourage people to come and enjoy themselves or do something else. But first;
THOMAS: there are people on here who are just now training dogs for the first time and this is a great way to get them involved and get them built up to the Master level like your dog and maybe venture off and do something else. This program wasn't suppose to be tailored for you, it's for the public, and not every competitors dog is cut out for Master level, Furthermore, if your dog is Master material, then he should wiz through the other levels, so I still don't see the problem, and that is to cut down on the people, who want to jump ahead of themselves and their dogs, and then suddenly your trial looks like horse crap, because the dogs are not competing in their respective levels. I see your new on here and any post I write to Will busting his chopps is mere play between friends. It's no secret I'm not a schutzhund fan, but I don't knock the sport or it's competitors, because these people are helping keep the working dogs alive. I train NVBK belgian ring, but regardless of the registry putting on the event the fact is they put on nice events, and the protection, tracking, and OB events are up my alley. Here's an example people are attracted to NVBK because of the belgian ring program, however they do make money with the registry by requiring the dogs competing to be registered with them, (Although I do like NVBK's registry). CKC offers registration the day of the trial, and it isn't very expensive at all, and the truth of the matter is, there isn't a whole lot of difference between AKC and CKC, but CKC has moved forward with a protection routine to join the ranks of their many other working venues, so I applaud them for supporting working dogs. I'd say hang out and get to know the board before you take things to serious as it seems you did even though I was poking fun at a friend, and if you didn't I apologize but that is how you came off.
Tammy my canadian pals, thanks for that info on the scratch pants that time, it was really helpful. About the CKC when we refer to an event going on in the US by CKC I would hope everyone would know we mean Continental Kennel Club. My opinion is as a registry the only real one in the world is NVBK the only problem is it's exclusive.(but I maybe bias )

My stupid knee is getting better so I will see you on Sunday. I got my sweeeeet new eurochien pants so I am going to be so much faster. Whats a Vanity registry? You have to register dogs? for what? they bite or they belong to someone else right?
I am smarter than my dog, your just not. |

Thanks Chris! I knew what you meant, just wanted to make sure other Canucks were aware of it!
As for Thomas, don't get too down on him... after all, he doesn't have room for too many more titles in his signature line... we're limited to 250 characters on this site!
LOL!
