poop in your yard, chew up the kids toys, drag off the kids shoes, tear up the trash and when you say something to the MIL she shoos you away or answers "Hmmmmmm" and then starts talking to someone else.
This is not me, it's someone on another board.
I have suggested a water hose and a paintball gun, but then someone else said that it was "cruelty to animals" Waaaaa!
She doesn't have a fence and can't afford one.
Any suggestions?
Yeah I know, use paintball on MIL???
Seriously though, they live out of town and I don't know if anything CAN be done about it, but surely someone has had a similar experience.
Not to be confused with MILF- if you do not know what that is, rent American Pie and get back to me.
I did have a similar experience with my ex-mother in law. I eventually told her that she had 2 choices. 1. She could keep her dog out of my yard and trash or 2. I would take care of it myself. And I believe that 1 firm correction is more effective than 1000 nagging ones. She also knew that and started keeping a better eye on her dog. Then again I am now divorced
Mother-in-laws she got realy pissed when i pulled the dog crate out cos she just ignored me when i said the dog was trashing my house and peeing in the house,at one point she even said i should be used to it cos i groom dogs ,i dont let them pee every where,i put a padlock on the crate door so they had to take her out and exercise,it did work, and my husband said nothing
D, that's not the sort of movie I'd normaly would watch, thanks for the cultural update I feel so hip now
Depends on the kind of relationship that you want to have with this person.
Do you want to get walked all over? Then do nothing.
Do you want respect? Tell her the way it is. Buy a harness and rope for the dog. Set it up so that she can snap the rope on the dog at the back door if she's that lazy.
Do you want a cold war? Trap the dog and call animal control .
Maybe this would explain why I am single.
