A.I. is a good thing to do in my eyes, but there are a lot of problems as of now with it. First, you have to find somone who knows what they are doing. Second, the cost is a little more that natural breeding. I know someone who tried it 3 times with her bitch and got nothing. Maybe she did not have an experienced vet, but she she performed it naturally after that and got 8 pups. It is a great financial loss if it does not take place, but it is healthier for the dog that way. I see a real future in A.I. if the risks that I mentioned were eliminated. That might make people more willing to perform this. I know that I would rather my bitch be insiminated but the risk factor is just too high for me right now. Maybe I just need more info on it.
