This Christmas brought joy but also sadness in our family. My dear beloved dog Blade was killed by a car. It was an unfortunate thing and he will be missed. Blade was a Therapy Dog and brought joy into the lives of so many people who really needed him in his short life. I blamed myself first, then the idiot whose dog caused this, then anyone else who came near me and then I made peace and just let it go. He had a very good life, way to short but was loved very much. I still have my GSD pup who is taking this hard but she is offering comfort to us and we thank the good lord she was not harmed. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v129/sibemom/HPIM0053.jpg
Ann, so sorry for your loss and the pain you are feeling now. Blade sounds like a cool dog! He is quite beautiful. Maybe he is off doing therapy across the Rainbow Bridge!
I lost my "heart dog" Zoey 11 days shy of her 3rd birthday this last April. I'm sure she's showing Blade the ways of the bridge.
When first you bend to pet me
find I'm no longer there
When first you rush to greet me
and only stop and stare
When first you find my toys
still hidden in your bed
When first you start to call me
then shed a tear instead
When first you find me snuggled
still deep inside your heart
At last you sense me watching
you know we're not apart
At last you feel my angel wings
brush soft against your skin
At last your tears give way to smiles
to know we'll meet again
At last you find the peace inside

Thank you for your kind words. Once all the investigations are done and can give more answers to exactly what kind of foul play was involved here, we will be able to get closure. We will of course still miss him because he was truley a great dog and freind to so many.
