I'd like to attend, this would be my first opportunity to see a SCH event. Is it ok to bring a dog and kids to an event such as this if we are just spectating?
Thanks so much

I won't be there. I think it is about as far away as it can be and still be in my region, but I will answer the other part of the question.
I don't see a problem with taking your kids, usually they have bleachers of some kind off the field for viewing. You can take your dog, however, I would suggest that you plan to crate the dog for the most part. If your dog decides to bark at the dogs on the field you will find yourself feeling most unwelcome. Socializing your dog with people away from the field in the parking area should not be a problem. Consider the temperature and the possibility that shade may not be available for parking a vehicle.

Ooops, I should have said Northeastern Region... There is a seperate one called NE for New England, right? The New England Regionals are about 7 hours away from me, and they are being held inthat same state that I live in!!
Thanks for the advice, do people not competeing usually bring a dogs or two, or just leave them home? I thought it might be good to just have her out in the outskirts for exposure to a dog related event( in and out of her crate periodically), but I didn't think it would be wise to bring her near a field during competition. I just wasn't sure what the norm is...since I've never been to one
My other concern is that my kids will be whining as soon as we get there that they're bored and want to go home! Are there usually vendors or food stands or things like that? I've been to horse shows, and some are very nicely done....so I'm just trying to get a picture in my mind so I can prepare.
Thanks for the feedback!!
