Hi, this has been an ongoing problem. Blitz is 20 months old right now, at about 5 months old he developed major limps in his front legs. The vet said it was Pano and to limit his exercise so I did until they dissapeared. After a few months they subsided. Being the crazy dog that he is, he needs exercise otherwise theres trouble. So I try run him hard (chasing ball) for maybe 45 mins a day.
Lately I've haven't been able to run him for a while. This weekend I took him out for a good 45 minute ball chase. He seemed okay no limp. Later during the day I gave him a pat on the front area and he made a painful whine. Now this week he has again developed a pronounced front (left side) limp. I can't tell if its elbow or shoulder. Does anyone have any ideas? Exercise is off now but I'm worried that my running him has damaged him somehow. Lastly can a front limp be related to HD?
have his elbows xrayed. unlikely that HD would cause limp in the front, but there are things that can go wrong in the elbow (ununited anconeal process, for example)

Yeah elbows/shoulders are my worry as well. I've setup a vet appointment for Saturday with a new veterinarian as I'm worried that my previous one made a misdiagnosis.
