I just started my GSD on the all natural diet and he loves it but i have one importan question. I give my dog a supplement called vetbalance. It says that it covers everything and that you don`t need any other supplements if you use this. Since i`m new feeding an all natural diet i`m following the menu that Ed Frawley has on his website. Now my question is, is this supplement really all he needs or should i stop using it and buy all the different supplements that are outlined in Ed Frawleys menu (2 Mega Omega 3, Super C Powder....)I want to make sure that i do this right and don`t leave out important supplements and do my dog more bad than good. Here is the website for the product, maybe someone will be able to answer my question. Thank you. web page
I went to the website but I really didnt find out what I wanted to know. Under ingredients it doesnt say exactly how much is in one scoop. For example does one scoop offer only 400IUs of Vitamin E or more than that? If you have the label there with you you can probabaly compare the amount to the amount Ed recommends. Let us know the amount for each ingredient.
Hmmm... well Im not sure about it but Ed gives his adult dogs 400units of Vitamin E a day so does 6.30 mean not quite 7 units of Vitamin E? ANd the Super C powder says: Just half a teaspoon equals 2000 mlg of vitamin C. And I think Ed gives his 1 teaspoon.
So I guess I dont have an answer for you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> but I was interested because if what you have is better then I was considering it but at this point I dont know.
Can anyone shed some light on this??
I know what you mean. In a way i really love this stuff. I got him on it when he was still on kibble and the difference was amazing. His energy level went way up, his coat was shinier, almost no shedding and a bunch of more positive changes. All in all he seemed like a different, happier dog than he was before i started to give it to him. So if it really covers everything i would like to continue it.
