I know I know, obviously the bitch is very important but here's my question. Through all my research of good breeders to buy from, it seems that almost all the breeders are super proud of their stud dogs (mostly cause they are good competitors or something) but you rarely here anything about the females. The president of a local schutzhund club once told me the female matters more than the male, i.e. she throws more of her traits. So how can a novice guy like myself make sure he gets a good puppy? Cause the males are usually easy to research, but females not so much. Any advice? Thanks.
Its been awhile since I been to a biology class but the genetic make up is 50 50. where the difference may come in is the imprinting. there was a lenghty thread on this in the breeding section that was most informative.
