Unfortunate that breeders like this exist. I've given up on finding another shepherd. The last time I bought a german shepherd (5 years ago) I never got any AKC papers, but at least I had the dog. This time I lost nearly $1000 and have nothing.
There are alot of good breeders that aren't like that. Just a matter of doing your homework, ask for references. Reputable breeders won't have a problem providing information like that!

Sue dont give up go after them .If they got you get them ! file a complaint with better business bureau in the state where breeder is , also contact Attorney generals office in that stae and also do a report on rip off website,true it takes time and you may not get your cash but hey at least they will see you are not taking it lying down and you may save someone else from becoming a victim .

You good people seem to have a lot of trouble with Dog Breeders
I bought my Shepherd Pup from a Dutch Breeder, I live in Belgium Everything was Perfect No hassle at all. and he is always ready to offer advice at the end of the phone or e mail. He wants the Owners to keep in touch to let him know how they are Doing
Its got to be tough when you get ripped off after paying out good money,
The last Litter he had born a week ago are already sold
