I have the prong article on this site. I have now a 2mm prong and I think she has outgrown it as she'll pull forever and it doesn't seem to effect her. I am going to upgrade to a larger size but wasn't sure which to get the medium or large
She is a 10 month old GSD who weighs 62 lbs.....!
I am leaning toward the larger size......
Any advice?
THANKS
Hi there,
You stated that your dog has out grown it's collar and you want to replace it. Just a little note, the MM has nothing to do with the circumfrence of the collar, it has to do with the gauge, or how thick and heavy each link in the collar is. The higher the MM, the stronger the collar is going to be. For a soft dog that will not require hard corrections, you can used a smaller MM thus it's lighter easier to snap on and off. For a dog that is going you to require to take him off all fours, you need a higher MM collar.
I only know this because I had a dog bust threw a cheap prong collar, so I had to upgrade to something heavier.
