Is it possible to ruin a dog's nerve permanently thru over correction? Given you have a dog with an excellent nerve to start with. When you are just starting to train a 6 month old pup and you don't know whether you have a soft or hard dog, an average correction can be a hard correction to a soft puppy. I need a guidline just to make sure I don't over do the corrections. Thanks.
The puppy with the best potential in the world can be destroyed with poor training.
Ed's obedience training tape has a very good explinations of finding your individual dogs level of correction.
