I just got my Czech line GSD Weds and its only been two days I'm so pleased with her I nearly peed myself. very reponsive, drivey and wants to chase and bite anything that moves. She learned to sit for her food already. She is clearly going to be the smartest dog I ever had. She's probably not the same league as Will R's Fetz but I don't think I can do better local. Thanks to all who gave excellent puppy selection advice and Ed for posting all that valueable puppy advice. I really think I got a good fit. It is an excellent reason you need to belong to a club.
"She's probably not the same league as Will R's Fetz..."
Dennis, you say that like it's a bad thing!
Unless you're a Columbian Drug Lord or in the Witness Protection Program, you don't need or want a dog like Fetz, believe me. He's a specialty dog, and only folks that desire a drop-dead protection dog would put up with his quirks. Definately not for everyone....but there's no substitute when you need one like him. I sleep well at night with him sitting next to my bed.
And a big congrats on your puppy!!
Are you saying that my boy is, well...hyper?
Chris has been nice enough to be a volunteer for group exercises at our club. Always taking a chance, that Chris....
Dennis,
Congrats on the new addition. I have been impressed with the czech line GSD's. Moving up I see, Max, now this new one, after this one you'll be ready for a Mali
Nah, really congradulations, I'm glad your hyped up about it sounds like you have a really fine pup.
Hmmmm! You said you sleep well with Fetz SITTING by your bed. Does he EVER relax enough to lay down and sleep?!
Chris, Remember one thing when you work him. Fetz only got to the 2nd step of the 12 step program, then he ate the group leader.
Dennis
Congratulations on your new pup. Now the fun starts.
She's a lucky pup to get someone who spent so much time
wanting to do things the right way.
Happy training.
Bob
I really liked the stud and bitch. The stud acts like a big fluffy teddy bear with his owner until show time, He HATES the helper to his core. Bitch is very prey drive and very friendly to all until you say the magic word, and best of all, the breeders want to see thier puppies do well so I'll have loads of help. Also my son is all into training. He's only four but I swear he already taught the pup to sit for food.
Fetz is a weenie Durn dog hasn't even punctured my suit yet. Can't see why you waste your time on him, Will.
Ummmm......you're bringing the OxyContin to the trial, right?
