OK, this site is VERY sad. So if you do not want to see it or have a weak stomach do not look. I urge you if you are like the people i have listen above do NOT click the link.
Basically its like this. I went and posted in the search engine looking for "country dogs" like farm pups and dogs for pictures.
Well, I found this and it was disgusting. I posted it on my other sites like the motorcycle sites I frequent.
It is of how people torture and kill dogs without remorse or even flinching. I understand some people have to eat but what about the diseased and starving environment. This is not a situation where they breed and treat for human consumption. These are peolpe eating someone else's pets.
The site will be given. Once there if you would like to see the way that people prepare cats, dogs and goats etc click the video. Its of an American who can read the language and is filming his footage of what is goping on. In the video are dogs, some with collars signifying pets, and what they do with them like dog skins, etc. The poultry isn't any better but the dog is a higly intellegent creature. From what he was explaining, you can see pressurecookers for cats, etc. Its sad.
A guy on the motorcycle website explains his side well and I'll post his as I feel the same way....
-------------
if u watched that 2nd video, that was absolutely ****** disgusting. Some people may very welll get pissed at me for saying this, but i dont mean any harm, so please dont take offense.
To me, its not so much they are eating those types of animals. we eat cows and pigs, which are some religions holy animal. for me, its how the hell they do it. I mean...i've seen how we kill cows. and its not exactly pretty, but compared to that, its heaven.... I could understand if they bred thesse animals for this reason, and then housed, and fed them properly (who the hell wants to eat a malnourished possibly diseased animal)..............its a sick ****** world
--------------------
The link. Look through it if you wish and if you can weatch the video. Its weird to think about the mentality of others in other places. The aspect of compassion and morality is seemingly absent. Its mind-boggling.

I was looking at some acreage here in Orlando near a "coming soon: korean church" - my friend joked "if your dog goes missing and you smell BBQ then you know where your dog is".... little did I know how serious that comment could be!
I had to look, but I couldn't look at the videos - I can only handle so much screwed upness.

My goodness. I've heard stories but seeing it made it a real issue. I'm not familiar with Korean culture. This is bizarre.

In Thailand you can walk into the butcher n they have live snakes there, they kill them by skinning them when you come in to buy one. My dad was doing business in Japan a lil while back n its a Japanese delicacy to hard boil an egg, then leave it for I believe 20-30 years till it's nice n black, then eat it.
I grew up experiencing alot of different cultures so I can see how things like this happen - but it still makes me sick. Dog's aren't meat, but to me, neither are bunnies, but people slaughter those too. I'd be a vegetarian if I didn't like cow n pig so much lol.

The Korean ambassador in NYC and the Korean Tourism agency have declared that these photos are outdated and that the practice has beeb halted. A little research indicates that they are misinformed, and that the practice continues in backstreet markets every day. The flavor of dog meat is supposedly enhanced by slow and excruciating death, and such deaths (which I will not put into words here) continue. I have written to every Korean official whose email or snail mail address I could get, over this past year. If anyone would like email addresses, I will provide them. I think two particularly effective people to speak up to are the head of the tourism department and the ambassador, and I have both email addresses. Join me!

If anyone wants a PM with the appropriate email addresses for the Korean Ambassador and the Korean Tourism Agency, I will be more than happy to supply them. I'll even give you a copy of the messages I composed and sent, which are researched, factual, non-confrontational, and non-xenophobic, with my permission to use them. It's great if you want to add your own comments and personalize it, but it's great if you want a pre-written message, ready to go, too.

My friend's son just got back from being stationed in Korea. He said that every afternoon they could hear the dogs being beaten. Apparently beating them in some way makes the meat better. This practice is definitely still going on.

Yes, it is; my research has shown me very clearly that it has not been "ended," as Korean authorities state.

Its not necessarily what" they are eating in this case. If you watch the video you will see how diseased ad staved the dogs are. Urinating on eachother and defecating b/c the cages are so small to fit that many dogs in them. A chicken being stabbed and thrown in a bucket and left to flop around for 10min. Putting cats and rabbits alive in steaming pressure cookers, etc
In rural area of the USA they eat their chickens too. No biggie. But its how they do it. Quick and fast. THese people don't care.
There is another video that I probably will NOT post of them skinning dogs ALIVE. Like he's screaming as they rip his skin off. I guess they were saying his struggling help the skin come off easier. I'll leave that one alone. Its probably WAAAAY to much for the members of this board. The guys on the motorcycle website were enfuriated when they saw it.
The bottom line is how you kill the animal. They steam them alive saying that if you steam it alive ita an aphrodisiac.
Its insane. I mean I if I am going to eat some beef, I want to be assured that it is fed, has vaccinations, and is killed quickly. I have been to slaughter houses and they use things that will knock the bull or cattle out cold. Its pretty quick. Pretty nasty if you have a weak stomach but its ALOT better conditions than this.
Its the how and not really what it is due to cultures...
But what is even MORE screwed up is that a guy on the motorcycle site said that he's been there and the standard of living is aboutthe same as the USA. So the reason for starving them and such is just a mental thing in society there. The don't use clean methods of doing things. Flies on the meat, bird diseases as they are all smashed toegtehr festering in filth, etc.
Its just not sanitary and its torturous but have enough money for Nukes, etc. Its like they have lost all compassion and have no morals. They are gone.

But unless we approach them where it hurts (in the wallet) by addressing the Korean Tourism people and the ambassador, then all we are doing is dismissing it or forcing Koreans to jump on the defensive. I want results. I think we get results with calm (if we can be calm; it's very very hard to be calm about this) but serious communication with the Koreans who care what we think and whether we will make this a reason to cut off our tourist dollars.
